Abstract. Field cryolitological studies were carried out during expeditions, held from 2017 to 2019 in the area of Nordenskiold Land (West Spitsbergen) on the basis of Russian Scientific Research Center on the Svalbard (Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute) as a part of the Russian Arctic Expedition. During the fieldworks various cryogenic relief forms, surface deposits were studied; morphometric calculations were performed. Further processing of the obtained data allowed us to compare the different effects of cryogenic processes on different areas of cryogenesis, having various directions of exogenous growth and characteristics of loose deposits.

Keywords: Svalbard, cryogenic landforms, forms of frost sorting, frost cracking, cryogenic eluvium, spot-medallion.
