Abstract. In result of inverstegations of geologists Polargeo Ltd. and VSEGEI were comparised of fragile fossil resine (rethinites) of the Jugorskii and Kanin Peninsules and Mexican and Dominican Republics. The rethinites of this region of Russian Arctic are new type of jewelry raw material which differs from Kaliningrad amber and often deposited in sands and peat facies of  these regions.

Keywords: new type of jewelry raw material, amber, fragile fossil resine, rethinite, jewelry making, Jugorskii Peninsula, Kanin Peninsula, Mexican Republic, Dominican Republic  comparison, lagoon facies, peat, sands
