Abstract. The results of long-term monitoring at eight geocryological stations in the western sector of the Russian Arctic are presented. The increase in the mean annual air temperature is about 2.8 °С (1970-2018). Recent data of the mean annual temperature in the active layer and Permafrost in all dominant landscapes of typical tundra, southern tundra forest-tundra and northern taiga zones is obtained. Proposed to distinguish three stages of permafrost stability in connection with climate warming – stable, unstable and active degrading Permafrost.

Keywords: permafrost, ground temperature, permafrost degradation, permafrost table
