Abstract. The preliminary results of three years of research in the southeastern White Sea region are summed up. The history of the development of the Kuloi Plateau coast (Zimniy and Abramovsky coasts) in the Late Pleistocene is reconstructed. Due to comprehensive studies of more than 30 sections, the main stratigraphic units of the Late Pleistocene have been identified. It has been established that during almost the entire Late Pleistocene (except for MIS 2), marine sedimentation environments dominated on the coast of the Kuloi Plateau. It was also established that there was no independent center of glaciation on the Kuloi Plateau during MIS 2. In addition, the first field data were obtained on the deposits of ice-dammed Late Glacial lake - the predecessor of the White Sea - on the coast of the Onega Peninsula.

Keywords: Late Pleistocene, Kuloi Plateau, MIS 5 - MIS 2, Late Glacial, correlation of glaciations and marine transgressions
