Abstract. The Perseus Rise is represented by Mesozoic bedrocks, which are overlain by a very thin cover of Quaternary formations. Using seismoacoustic data, as well as bottom sampling data, the hilly-ridge topography is the result of the impact of Pleistocene glacial and fluvioglacial flows on the bottom. Keywords: geological survey of the shelf, seismoacoustic profiling, bottom sampling, bottom rock material, Perseus Rise, Barents Sea
