Abstract. Field work carried out in 2022 in the southwestern Kola Peninsula was aimed to investigation of the late-glacial formations in the Kolvitskaya trough, which is located between two marginal glacial belts. The data obtained evidence that they were formed during frontal-areal deglaciation of the area, during oscillation shifts of the glacier margin and dead ice melting, as well as during the functioning of the proglacial freshwater basin, during the Late Glacial marine transgression and subsequent sea shoreline regression. As a result, ribbed moraines formed on the trough slopes, supraglacial landforms, radial eskers along the axial part of the trough and adjacent terraces composed of proglacial freshwater lake sediments overlain by marine sediments, as well as isolation basins appeared.

Keywords: deglaciation, ridge landforms, esker, ribbed moraine, supraglacial formations, sea shoreline
