Abstract. The article presents the results of paleontological studies of the Bolshezemelskaya tundra: a new unique section with choppers and seashells is described, which will probably become a reference for the entire vast territory in the latitudinal key. When comparing the complex of Khasyrei -20 species with the complexes of the Vashutkin formation, a conclusion was made about the simultaneity of precipitation accumulation. The actual material shows the important role of statistical methods of processing samples with mollusks to obtain various data. For the first time, an attempt was made to correlate dates "by choppers" and mollusks on the example of the Murseyakh Kanin section. The question is raised about the organization of complex studies of the Khasyrey and Vatiarty sections in order to obtain synchronous dates of the evolution of primates and mollusks at the border of marine transgressive basins. The report is accompanied by a demonstration of the oldest types and forms of stone tools from the shell layer, as well as shells of various types themselves.

Keywords: Khasyrei, vashutkin suite, Mya pullus (Sowerby, 1826), choppers
