Abstract. As a result of the generalization of engineering survey materials and the results of special processing and interpretation of conventional 3D seismic data in the Barents and Kara Seas, an Atlas of hazardous geological processes and phenomena was compiled. The inaccessibility of the region and the insufficient amount of actual materials dictate the need to have a set of data characterizing elements of the geological section, which are potentially dangerous for the construction of wells and other offshore engineering structures on the Arctic shelf. The fragments of wave patterns presented in the Atlas, obtained examples of various seismiс and sonar data, give a general description of the spectrum of geological hazards that are widespread on the Arctic shelf. The Atlas is a generalization of the existing experience in identifying dangerous geological processes and phenomena in this region.

Keywords: geological hazardous processes and phenomena, Arctic shelf, atlas, seismic research methods, engineering surveys
