Abstract. The results of the temperature measurements obtained from the shallow-depth borehole drilled in the East Siberian Sea have been introduced. In the upper part of the geological section (up to 181 m) some temperature anomalies have been detected (+3.51°С, +4.5°С and +5.023°С), which are correlated with the depths of the porous formations. A possible impact of the hydrogeological factor on these temperature anomaly occurrences has been analyzed. Some recommendations to identify zones of the borehole thermal water infiltration, as well as measures to minimize its impact on the borehole temperature measurements have been given.
