Abstract. During the international Expedition “The Arctic-2021” on the board of “Academic Tryoshnikov” vessel the offshore bar with a height of 6,5 m at the north-east side of Graham-Bell Island (Franz Josef Land), was investigated. It had been originated 7-8 thousand years ago as 14C dating of wale bones at surface of the bar showed. After formation the bar was covered by passive ice cap and was not exposed to following sea level fluctuations. At present time the bar and adjacent area are continuing to free of passive ice cap, which covered this area during the Little Ice Age. The bar and adjacent area are free from traces of mechanical influence of passive glaciers.

Keywords: Graham-Bell Island, offshore bar, sea level fluctuations, Holocene
