Abstract. The study and mapping of zones of focused unloading of hydrocarbons from the depths of the sedimentary cover into near-surface sediments are becoming increasingly important in connection with the development of natural resources of the seas and oceans. The greatest urgency of such tasks is characteristic of the Arctic shelf, on the one hand due to the significant areas of fluid discharge zones, on the other - the prospects for the development of offshore oil and gas facilities. In this regard, the issues of geological and geochemical research within the Arctic shelf become especially important, since the characteristic features of the geological development of this underwater territory have had an influence on the manifestation of the processes of "breathing" of the sedimentary cover at the present stage. In the northeastern part of the Kara Sea, complex geological, geophysical and geochemical studies of zones of focused hydrocarbon discharge within various structural-tectonic zones were carried out.

Keywords: North Kara basin, zones of focused fluid discharge, hydrocarbons, geochemical surveys
