Abstract. In the spring of 2022, during field work in the northern part of the Sambian Peninsula, the Kulikovo section, confined to an abrasion scarp, was studied. The deposits exposed in this section were presumably accumulated in the Late Pleistocene and Holocene, and their lower part corresponds to the deposits of one of the near-glacial reservoirs. For the lower part of the section (192-141 cm), a complex lithological analysis was performed (the granulometric composition was measured, the content of organic matter and carbonate compounds was determined, the first results of diatom analysis were obtained. 7 layers (lithological zones) were identified, corresponding to a change in sedimentation conditions and paleoecological characteristics of the reservoir.
