Abstract. The factual material was collected within the framework of the 56th cruise of the R/V "Akademik Nikolay Strakhov". The paper presents the results of geochronological studies of sedimentation in the northwest of the Yamal shelf. In the area of work, sedimentation rates characteristic of the last century were determined. A variation series of sedimentation rates during the period of climate change was established. Minimum, maximum and average values of sedimentation rates after the Little Ice Age were estimated. It is proposed to extrapolate the obtained data to the late Holocene period, taking into account the latest climatic fluctuations.

Keywords: sedimentation rate, geochronology, Yamal shelf, climate change, Little Ice Age, late Holocene
