Abstract. The expedition was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China in cooperation with the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources In 2024, with the participation of geologists from Agency's subordinate organizations - VNIIOkeangeologia, the Karpinsky Institute and IMGRE. Comprehensive research was carried out by an international team of scientists in the Gakkel Ridge area and on the Chukchi Plateau. The Joint Arctic Scientific Mid-ocean Ridge Insight Expedition (JASMInE-2) provided a unique opportunity for the development of international scientific cooperation, from long preparations for the entry of the Chinese icebreaker "Xue Long 2" at a Russian port to joint work in the Arctic Ocean. Keywords: expedition, CHINARE, JASMInE-2, Eurasian Basin, Gakkel Ridge, international cooperation, bottom stations, geophysical research
