Abstract. New data are presented on plant and faunal remains collected in the sediments of the marine Valkatlen layers of the Upper Neopleistocene in 2018-2024 in the northern part of the Gulf of Anadyr, South Chukotka. As a result of processing the paleontological material, it was established that the thickness of marine sediments of the northern part of the Anadyr Estuary, from Cape Observatsii to the mouth of the Etgopelyanvaam River, should be stratigraphically attributed to the Valkatlen layers, widely developed on the eastern coast of the Chukotka Peninsula, in the southern part of the eastern shore of Kresta Bay, as well as to the south of Uelen Lagoon.

Keywords: Chukotka, Anadyr Estuary, Valkatlen layers, plant remains, fossil mollusks
