Abstract. Based on the results of field work in 2023, a detailed study of the three largest sections in the middle reaches of the Kazym River was carried out - in the area of the village of Yuilsk, the village of Pomut and the mouth of the Sorum River. The results obtained were compared with the materials of geological reports of predecessors. It has been established that the structure of the sections fully corresponds to the existing descriptions; the main differences are in determining the genesis and age of loamy and clayey strata. Based on the combination of geological features (lack of sorting, high density, lumpy structure, inclusions of pebbles and boulders, the presence of sandy layers and lenses, dislocation, inclined occurrence) and features of the geomorphological position, their glacial genesis is most likely. Due to their long-term preservation, the studied sections can be considered as reference sections for the Kazym River basin. Keywords: Kazym, Yuilsk, Sorum, section, diamicton, Quaternary sediments, glaciation
