Abstract. The article describes the technogenic structure (heap waste heap) of the late Anthropocene in the Sinyavino swamps in the vicinity of the city of Kirovsk (Leningrad region). It was formed as a result of the transformation of ash from the burning of peat at the Kirov Thermal Power Plant and is an interesting manifestation of the man-made building stone used in the area. The structure has a diameter of about 100 m and lies in the strata of Holocene sands and peats that form an accumulative form. The upper part of the accumulative form is composed of layered light technogenic fluidolites with interlayers and massive technogenic fluidolites in the core. Keywords: technogenic structure, waste heap, technogenic fluidolites, late Holocene, Anthropocene, peat, city of Kirovsk, Leningrad region
